Tobacco used to fight cancer - According a Reuters report from July 21st that appeared in Boston.com, a new personalized vaccine that is made using tobacco plants could aid people with lymphoma in fighting this form of cancer, U.S. researchers said. The treatment, which would vaccinate cancer patients against their own tumor cells, is made using a new approach that turns tobacco plants into personalized vaccine factories. Dr. Ron Levy of Stanford University School of Medicine in California, whose research appears in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, said, "This would be a way to treat cancer without side effects." Levy's statement went on to say, "The idea is to marshal the body's own immune system to fight cancer." Read more about Tobacco Fighting Cancer HERE. Cigarette Retailer TAX TRAPS - I've posted some of these before, but smokers are still buying at these places - and they're still getting NAILED by the taxman! So this bears a little repeating - tell your friends who buy online . . . Customers of the retail tobacco sites listed below get Tax Bills from their states. I've personally had emails from some of their customers in a number of states that reported getting tax bills ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars. These websites are owned by C and I Distribution Inc. and they ALL betray their customers' confidence. They report customer purchases to their customers' state tax authorities.
